RichTech, the Greater Richmond Technology Council is dedicated to providing our member businesses knowledge and access to government in Washington, Capital Square and the greater Richmond localities. When issues arise related to technology, RichTech will provide accurate and timely feedback to our state and federal delegations. The decisions made by elected officials each year affect our businesses bottom-line and Richmond's future as a destination for business with an interest in technology.
The Public Policy Committee was formed to provide an outlet and serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors on technology policy issues. All position recommendations gathered from member companies are complied each Fall into a Policy Position Document that is presented to the Executive Committee and Board for approval and action. This document is used as a tool to inform our legislators of the importance to providing a business friendly environment to attract and retain technology centric companies and a highly skilled and technical workforce.
The Committee will also assist in coalition building and grassroots development. Many issues being presented to local, state and federal government impact a broad-cross section of industries and regions of the state. The statewide technology community works better when we work together.
In addition to these efforts, the Committee will also hold several programs & events to keep member businesses connected with their Legislators. If you have an interest in policy or work as a government affair professional and would like to join this committee please contact Robby Demeria at 804.228.4193 or email robby@richtech.com
